    1. Problem

    To determine the status of mainstreaming in selected special schools and the special classes in selected regular schools in Cebu City for the purpose of formulating guidelines for mainstreaming.

    2. Sub-Problem

    1. Describe the program by which special schools and special classes implement the mainstreaming of special students in regular schools in terms of:
    1.1 faculty training
    1.2 admnistrative support
    1.3 instructional facilities and resources
    1.4 student preparation
    1.4.1 non-disabled students
    1.4.2 disabled students
    2. Identify the needs and problems encountered/ will be encountered in implementing mainstreaming program

    1. Problem
    To investigate the conceptual strategies for grouping and remembering employed by educable and trainable mentally retarded children enrolled in two special schools and special classes in Cebu City and Tagbilaran City, particularly how they classify/categorize things for better mnemonic effect. On the basis of the findings, guidelines for designing training programs were formulated.

    2. Sub-Problem
    a. what is the level of grouping responses of the educable and trainable mentally retarded children under study?
    b. what guidelines may be proposed towards designing a training program to improve the conceptual strategies of educable and trainable mentally retarded children?
